Business Customers Only
Forgewater is a wholesale supplier of fishing flies and related products, supplying businesses, retailers, fisheries, guides, clubs and commercial organisations.
This Return & Refund Policy applies only to business-to-business (B2B) transactions. It does not apply to consumer purchases.
Inspecting Your Order
Please inspect your delivery as soon as reasonably practicable after receipt.
If your order contains any shortages, incorrect products or goods damaged in transit, you must notify us within 5 working days of delivery.
To help us resolve your claim quickly, please provide:

Your order number.

Details of the issue.
-
Photographs where appropriate.

The quantity of products affected.
Failure to notify us within this period may affect our ability to investigate and resolve the matter.
Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Where goods have been damaged during transit or supplied incorrectly by Forgewater, we will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange one or more of the following:

Replacement goods.
-
Collection of the affected products.
-
A credit note.
-
A refund.
We may request photographs or additional information before processing your claim.
Manufacturing Defects
If you believe a product contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable.
We may request:

Photographs of the product.
-
Batch or order details.
-
Return of the affected product for inspection.
Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Forgewater will, at its discretion:

Replace the product.
-
Issue a credit note.
-
Provide an appropriate refund.
Fishing Fly Durability
Fishing flies are consumable products intended to be used under demanding fishing conditions.
The lifespan of a fly will naturally vary depending on factors including:

Number and size of fish caught.
-
Snagging.
-
Casting into vegetation or obstacles.
-
Fishing methods.
-
Storage and handling.
Reasonable wear through normal fishing use, including damaged materials, bent hooks, missing hackles or general deterioration, is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Natural Materials
Many Forgewater flies are tied using natural materials including feathers, fur and hair.
As these are natural materials, slight variations in colour, markings, texture, fibre length and appearance between individual flies or production batches are normal and do not constitute defects.
Returns of Non-Faulty Goods
Unless agreed by Forgewater in writing before dispatch, products are not supplied on a sale-or-return basis.
We do not normally accept returns of correctly supplied, non-faulty goods simply because:

They have not sold.

Customer demand has changed.
-
The products are no longer required.
-
Alternative products have been chosen.
Any return of non-faulty goods is entirely at Forgewater's discretion.
Where a return is authorised:

Goods must be unused and in original resaleable condition.

Original packaging must be intact.
-
Goods must be returned within 14 days of authorisation.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
Forgewater reserves the right to apply a reasonable restocking charge where appropriate.
Bespoke & Own-Branded Products
Products manufactured or assembled specifically for a customer cannot normally be cancelled, returned or refunded.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Bespoke fly selections.
-
Own-branded products.
-
Custom-labelled packaging.
-
Customer-specific assortments.
-
Water-specific fly selections.
-
Special-order products.
These products may only be returned where Forgewater has supplied them incorrectly or where a confirmed manufacturing defect exists.
Trade Samples
Trade samples supplied free of charge or at promotional pricing are provided for evaluation purposes only.
Unless faulty or supplied incorrectly, trade samples are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Return Authorisation
Please do not return any goods without contacting Forgewater first.
Unauthorised returns may be refused or returned to the sender.
Return instructions will be provided once your request has been reviewed.
Refunds
Where a refund has been approved, it will normally be processed within 10 working days of receipt and inspection of the returned goods.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Where appropriate, Forgewater may issue a credit note instead of a monetary refund.
International Orders
For customers outside the United Kingdom, any approved refunds relate solely to the value of the goods originally supplied.
Unless required by applicable law or agreed otherwise, shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes and other local charges are non-refundable.
Customers are responsible for complying with local import requirements within their country.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Forgewater's liability arising from any claim relating to goods supplied shall not exceed the purchase price paid for those goods.
Forgewater shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill or loss of anticipated sales, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
